Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions must be read carefully prior to completing a booking form. By completing the on-line booking form and ticking you accept the terms and conditions or alternatively signing the booking form, it confirms the terms and conditions have been read, understood and accepted. The person who completes the on-line bookinng form or signs the booking form certifies that he or she is authorised to agree the terms and conditions on behalf of all persons included on the booking form. He or she agrees to take responsibility for the party occupying the property.

Reservations

Initial enquiries and reservations can be by telephone, email or via the contact page / enquiry form on the website. A booking form can be completed on the website and the reservation will need to be confirmed within 7 days of the initial enquiry. A copy of photo ID of the main party member will be required with the booking form. The copy will be checked alongside the original ID during the key handover.

The ID is required before arrival, can be driving licence, passport or other ID such as a work ID. Its mainly for key hand over of the property, any issues that could arise during the booking and we need an ID as our property manager often meets guests late at night, on their own.

For late bookings all documentation and payments must be received 48 hours prior to the booking.

The completed booking form on the website is an acceptance of luxury sea views terms and conditions. It is the guest’s responsibility to read the terms and conditions prior to completing the booking form.

The names of all those occupying the property during the period must be specified on the booking form. The party size staying at the property must not exceed the names specified on the booking form.

Children must be the age of 5 years or over. Unless approved by Luxury Sea Views prior.
None of our apartments are child proofed and any children in the properties are at the sole responsibility of the parents, guardians or booking adults. All health and safety aspects are the sole responsibility of the parents, guardian or booking adults.
No children or baby utensils or bedding supplied.

Reservations will be cancelled if the booking form is not received within 7 days, unless there has been an agreement with “luxury sea views”.

The contract of hire is between “luxury sea views” and the main party member, in agreement with the terms and condition. The main party member must be over the age of 21.

Booking and Payments

Bookings will only be confirmed on receipt of the deposit along with the booking form.

An initial payment of a 25 % deposit (non refundable) is required as long as the booking is made six weeks or more, prior to the beginning of the booking date.

If the booking is made less than six weeks prior to the commencement of the booking date, the full amount is payable immediately with the booking form.

For late or last minute bookings, the full amount / all funds must be received and cleared 48 hours prior to the guest arrival.

A refundable damage deposit of £175 will be required against loss and damage. The deposit value will be provided on initial enquiry and reservation. The damage deposit is payable with the booking balance payment. This deposit will be returned in full within 7 working days of the departure date, minus any costs for damage, breakages, missing items however caused and any cleaning necessary, over and above normal servicing. The deposit will be returned by Pay Pal.
There is a mandatory Cleaning fee on all bookings of £30. This is does not cover cleaning costs but is a token toward the cleaning, this enables us to keep daily rates to a minimum.
This is taken with the booking fees at the time of booking.

Date changes of bookings: This should be notified to Luxury Sea Views. If accepted by Luxury Sea Views there will be a nominal administration fee of £45 per date change.

There is a mandatory booking fee on all bookings of £7.50. This includes all bookings and extensions.
This is paid at the time of booking.

There is a mandatory Cleaning fee on all bookings of £30. This is does not cover cleaning costs but is a token toward the cleaning, this enables us to keep daily rates to a minimum.
This is taken with the booking fees at the time of booking.

Late check-outs and early check-ins facility:  Depending on availability, early check-ins and late check-outs can be reviewed. ie late check out extended to 15:00, or early check-in from 10:00. There is a late check-out / early check-in facility, for a fee of £40 each. Early check in is £40 and Late Check is £40. The extra costs are to cover cleaners and overtime costs for later working or / and earlier working.
And having a knock on effect with working hours on the apartments. If you require the late check-out / early check-in, we require advance notice and payment, so we can reschedule the cleaners and confirm the apartment set up team.

Parking charges will be paid at the time of booking by the guest or if after, taken from the refundable damage deposit.
If you require parking please tick the optional extra for payment for parking. Please let us know the registration of your vehicle. We require this a minimum of 48 hours in advance to ensure we can get the vehicle on the parking system with parking companies.

The hirer is at no time is to move, rearrange the furniture in the property. Any damage after or requirement of hiring of removable men to rearrange the apartment back to how it should be and was prior, will be deducted from the damage deposit.

The hirer is responsible for the apartment during their stay and as such, any damage caused for whatever reason during their stay or remedial work required after, for whatever reason, will be deducted from the damage deposit.

Day permit parking tickets for The Esplanade and The Grand Parade are available at a small charge. If required the cost will be provided on initial enquiry / reservation and payment will be required with the booking balance payment. Day permit parking tickets have to be booked / reserved in advance. The day parking permits at The Esplanade and The Grand Parade is for on-street parking and the permits are purchased on your behalf by Luxury Sea Views.

Parking permits for The Esplanade and The Grand Parade – £3.00 per day

Parking at the Phoenix Quay and Calstock River View Cottage – Free

Royal William, Royal William Marina and Brewhouse – £3.00 per day

Parking at the Royal William Yard is with electronic registration recognition system and payment is required with the booking balance payment. There is no designated space in the Royal William Yard the small charge allows the vehicle to park in the public spaces within the Royal William Yard.

The parking in the Royal William is normally pay and display and the main cobbled street (double yellow lines) through the archway on the right is no parking. Luxury Sea Views will require to add your car details to our account at the Royal William yard. So you do not have to pay any parking on arrival. The system takes a photo of your registration plate as you enter and leave the yard.Your vehicle licence number, model of vehicle and colour will be added to our account allowing you to park your vehicle in parking bays behind the Melville building.

For any other vehicles in the Royal William Yard are subject to pay and display charges.The parking is located in the parking area in the main visitors car park, which is signposted or up the left side cobbled streets on the complex, or large bay parking behind the Melville Building.If in any doubt please ask our property manager.

Please note that parking at the Royal William Yard, the main cobbled street from the gate is ‘no parking’, parking is on the side streets, behind the Melville building in the parking bays or in the Visitor’s car park.

Marina Berths are available in the Royal William Yard Marina. This is arranged directly between the guests and Royal William Harbour Master. The contact details of the Royal William Yard Harbour Master and Royal William Yard Marina marketing leaflet are provided by Luxury Sea Views.

Balance payment of the booking will be due 6 weeks prior to the commencement of the booking date. “Luxury sea views” reserve the right to cancel the booking where the balance has not been received 6 weeks prior to the booking date.

There will be a small charge for payment via PayPal electronic transfer.

Tariffs are quoted are for a weekly basis, short breaks or day by day, normally weeks in peak season are Friday-to-Friday or Saturday-to-Saturday, however other arrival or departure dates are available. Booking’s are inclusive of:

  • Electricity and gas.
  • Laundry facilities.
  • Bed linen, duvet covers, towels and tea towels.
  • All beds made up on arrival.
  • Please note: No beach towels are supplied and no towels are to be removed from the property.
  • Cleaning of the property once a week including linen and towel changes.

Wifi Broadband internet access – Luxury Sea Views provide complimentary (free) WiFi access at the properties, this is an added luxury and complimentary. As such this is not included in the Tariff. Luxury Sea Views do not provide any support for issues with guests connecting to the WiFi and are not liable for internet service providers internet outage or lack of WiFi internet service / connection within the properties.

Luxury Sea Views Environmental policy

Recyclable shopping bags. As part of Luxury Sea Views Environmental policy we supply you with one or two recyclable shopping bags, which are located on the hangers in the hallway. These two bags are for you to use during your stay for food shopping etc, so you do not have to use or pay for plastic bags. Please leave these bags on the hangers on your departure for other guests to use. These are provided complimentary (free) for use at the properties.

Umbrellas – Luxury Sea Views have two umbrellas for you to use. Located in the hallway or utility cupboard. These umbrellas are for you to use during your stay. Please leave these umbrellas on your departure for other guests to use. These are provided complimentary (free) for use at the properties.

Cancellation

“Luxury sea views” must be notified of any cancellations immediately in the first instance by telephone and then by writing. The booking is non transferable and the booking deposit is non refundable. If the booking is cancelled in writing prior to six weeks before the booking date, a cancellation fee is charged of the full deposit. If the booking is cancelled in writing less than six weeks before the commencement of the booking date, the full balance of the booking is charged.

Arrival and Departure

Bookings commence at 3.00pm on the first day of the stay and end at 10 am on the day of departure. Prior arrangements with “Luxury sea views” are required to allow the property manager to meet / greet and handover the keys. The property managers contact details will be provided, who will be “Luxury sea views” point of contact during the stay for the hirer, guests.

Latest arrival for meet and greet is arrival is just after midnight on the day of arrival.

There is a an additional out of hours cost after 19:00 to 23:30 for a meet and greet, key hand over of £27.50.
For meet and greets 23:30 to 02:00 the additional out of hours cost for a meet and greet is £47.50.
As there are overtime costs incurred.
Please tick the optional extra on check out for late arrival and payment or the cost will be taken from the refundable deposit.

Failure to vacate properties by 10:00 am could incur a day rate charge, however the hirer will still be expected to vacate the property immediately despite this fee being charged.

Under no circumstances are the keys to properties mailed to guest prior to arrival.

During key hand-over with the Property Manager on guests arrival, the apartment will be shown to the guests and information on the apartment described. Any issues from the hirer, guest’s with the apartment must be brought up at this time. An acceptance form will be required to be signed by the guest at the end of the property hand-over, for acceptance of the apartment as seen. Any issues with the apartment at a later date of the booking can not result in refund and luxury sea views are not liable to provide guests with alternative accommodation.

All faults and breakages occurring in the property must be reported by the hirer / guests by telephone to the property manager immediately.

Noise

Noise levels must be kept to a minimum after 10:00pm.

Strictly no parties or large groups. Listed booking names only. Any reports of such, the refundable deposit will be held.

Respect neighbours and residents. Any noise and disrespect of residents, the refundable deposit will be held.

Pets

Sorry no pets are allowed. Guide dogs are permitted.

No Smoking

All “luxury sea view” properties are non-smoking.

No exceptions. Any guest / hirer smoking in an apartment will be asked to withdraw / vacate an apartment, the hirer / guest is not eligible for any refund of monies including deposit or rent. Post Box Keys Properties with Post Boxes, under no circumstances are Guests permitted access to Post Boxes or keys.

No smoking areas include all internal areas, balconies, outside front doors of properties. Any walkway, corridors, foyers and all communal areas of the buildings.

Liability and Disclaimer

“Luxury sea views” and the proprietor can not undertake any liability for loss, damage, injury, accident, loss of life, expense or inconvenience to the hirer or any of the booking party or thing brought onto the property, however caused or sustained.

“Luxury sea views” reserve the right to provide alternative accommodations or cancel owing to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. All properties are used at the hirer’s own risk. “Luxury sea views” do not accept responsibility for any belongings or personal possessions of the hirer, guests or party.

“Luxury sea views” are not liabile to provide the guest / hirer alternative accommodation if at any time the guest is not satisfied with their chosen accommodation.

“Luxury sea views” reserve the right and not liabile to find a guest alternative accommodation in any event or circumstance.

Specific instructions on the usage of day parking tickets by the local authorities must be adhered to. Under no circumstances are “Luxury sea views” liable for any additional costs incurred from parking. Any vehicle and contents are parked entirely at the hirer’s risk.

Marina berths at the Royal William Yard are by agreement with the Royal William Yard Harbour Master. Under no circumstances are “Luxury Sea Views” liable for any arrangements or incidents with the marina berths. The contact details of the Royal William Yard Harbour Master and the marketing leaflet supplied by the Royal William Yard Marina are provided by Luxury Sea Views for review.

Luxury Sea Views are not liable for any errors in supplied information or changes in prices etc.

Luxury Sea Views provide complimentary (free) WiFi access at the properties, this is an added luxury and complimentary. Luxury Sea Views do not provide any support for issues with guests connecting to the WiFi and are not liable for internet service providers internet outage or lack of WiFi internet service / connection within the properties. In addition Luxury Sea Views reserve the right to not supply WiFi at the properties at any time.

Recyclable shopping bags and Umbrellas are provided complimentary at the property for guests to use. Luxury Sea Views are not liable if these items are not present in the apartments or available for use. Luxury Sea Views reserve the right not to supply these items for use at any time.

“Luxury Sea Views”, proprietor and appointed persons reserve the right to enter the properties to carry out essential repairs to the properties or its contents, clean and inspect the properties.

“Luxury sea views” reserve the right to insist on immediate withdrawal of anyone or any hirer / guest / party not complying with the terms and conditions, damaging the property, causing a nuisance or annoyance to other guests or neighbours, exceeding the number of guests on the booking form.

Any hirer / guest not complying to the terms and conditions, when asked to vacate or immediate withdrawal from a “Luxury Sea Views” property, the hirer / guest is not eligible for any refund of any monies, this includes deposit and any rent.

“Luxury sea views” are not eligible to assist any hirer / guest with further accommodation when a hirer / guest is asked to vacate any apartment when a hirer / guest is of breach and not complying to the terms and conditions.

The hirer is legally responsible for any breakages, damages and losses. The hirer is responsible for the property during his or her stay and undertakes to keep it clean and tidy, and to pay for any breakages, damage or loss he/ she or any member of their party has caused. Due care and consideration must be given to all other tenants, guests in the building and neighbours. Noise levels conditions must be adhered to, i.e. noise levels kept to a minimum after 10:00 pm. The refundable deposit will be held for this purpose. If the breakage, damage or loss is greater than the deposit the hirer is responsible for the full cost. The hirer is at no time is to move, rearrange the furniture in the property. Any damage after or requirement of hiring of removable men to rearrange the apartment back to how it should be and was prior, will be deducted from the damage deposit.

The hirer is responsible for the apartment during their stay and as such, any damage caused for whatever reason during their stay or remedial work required after, for whatever reason, will be deducted from the damage deposit.

If the hirer wishes to extend beyond the booking a verbal agreement with payment will be acceptable and agreement of the terms and conditions on the initial booking form will remain valid.

“Luxury sea views” are holiday lets; the accommodation cannot be regarded as a main or permanent residence. The property is hired on the understanding that the accommodation is for holiday use only and that no right to remain in the accommodation exists for the guest / hirer or anyone in the party.

“Luxury sea views” reserve the right to amend prices quoted on the brochure or website. Photographs of the interiors of the properties on the brochure or website are representative only and interiors may vary.
